The temperature was 103 in the shade...dust billowed up around your boots covering them with a fine layer of crystal sand...in the distant you can hear a faint sound of a hawk calling out as he found his family a mid-afternoon snack.

The heat was unbearably hot for this time of year...even the chickens were resting in the shade. 

Been a long day so far...wrestling with cows in the barn, feeding angry pigs in the pens, riding dirt covered jeeps across the lands to catch my latest Bounty. 

Looks up to the skies...hoping for some sign of rain...none. 

Anywhere else in the world this would be a wonderful sunny day...here...Death Valley.
